Magical Montgomery
Walking along Wayne Avenue on September 26 in downtown Silver Spring, it was hard to imagine anyone wanting to be outside at all. The sky was dark and gloomy, the streets barren and wet, and the rain was coming down in a depressing drizzle. One block over on Ellsworth, though, the mood was upbeat and the people were out.

Abstraction: being lost in thought
The time spent in El Salvador was a experience i feel we will never forget. In my case the friends we made were all the difference in my experience. i feel that if it werent for them our time there would of been a complete different story. now back in the sates, i always think how cool it is to have friends so far away.
Eight Days in August
Ancient chapel— dark once more— you weep in silence.
A sigh, like the sound of rustling bats, betrays your bittersweet heart.
We are gone.
No more, the careless laughter of our youth.
No more, the babel of our variant tongues.
No more, the beauty of our faces— innocent, full of light, the colors of the continents.
Long suffering mother of us all...
Inertia
in case folks didn't catch it in Bronte's expose...there's been a few trips to the doc the last few days and 4 have been down for the count...including me. We weren't able to make the trip to San Salvador yesterday and watched morosely as everybody else galloped out the front gates on a new adventure.
As we contemplated our sick day staring at the hanging plants in front of the kitchen, Berty (a staff here at CAP and the husband of on of the participants) came by and asked why we were inside. We said we were lepers and had to recuperate before the rest came back. He said, let's go see some ancient ruins. and we did. Las ruinas de Cihuatan.
